For those interested in the local history of the Jews, a visit to the Jewish Community Centre (JCC) is a must. Since its opening in April 2008 by HRH, The Prince of Wales, JCC has been successfully rebuilding and developing Krakow’s varied Jewish community.
Here, you will have a unique opportunity to discuss the Polish-Jewish relationships with Jonathan Ornstein, the director of and the driving force behind the success of the JCC.
Mr Ornstein, previously a lectured in Modern Hebrew at Krakow’s Jagiellonian University has been a long-time passionate and advocate of reviving Jewish community in Poland.
In 2014 Jonathan was awarded the Cohon Award for services benefitting the Jewish People and in 2015 he was awarded the “Bene Merito” medal by the Polish Foreign Ministry for his work promoting Poland.
