Fryderyk Chopin is one of the most famous Varsovians. For the first half of his life (39 years total), Chopin was associated with Warsaw. It was here that he studied music, made friends, gave first concerts, and where his heart found its final resting place.
We will start our stroll along the Royal Route and see the places the great composer lived in or visited, such as the Kazimierzowski Palace, the Czapski Palace, the Chopin Family Drawing Room, the Radziwill Palace (now the Presidential Palace), and the Charitable Society of Warsaw.
The most important stops on the route being the Holy Cross Church, where his heart is interred, the super-modern biographical museum in Ostrogski Castle, and the memorial in Lazienki Park, where recitals of Chopin’s music are held every Sunday afternoon from May to September.
